SCR Rated PMDC Gearmotors - 90V or 180V at 2500rpm

To provide greater flexibility and compatibility with unfiltered SCR speed controls, Bodine now offers over (100) 90VDC and 180VDC “SCR Rated” gearmotors with a maximum rated armature speed of 2500 rpm. These new gearmotors feature a Class F insulation system, and the windings were designed and tested to operate with an unfiltered DC speed control. Model 2999 - NEMA-4X Pacesetter AC Motor Speed Control

The Bodine Electric model 2999 3-phase AC motor speed control is designed to drive 230 VAC, 50 or 60 Hz, inverter-duty, 3-phase gearmotors and motor that are rated up to 1 HP (746 Watts). It operates from a single-phase, 115 or 230 VAC line, and is housed in a NEMA‑4X / IP-65 washdown and watertight aluminum die-cast enclosure. The sine wave coded Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) output operates at a carrier frequency of 16kHz, which provides high motor efficiency and low noise. Type HG Gearmotors Provide High Torque in a Compact Package

This offset parallel shaft gearhead provides flexible mounting and high torque in a small package. All type HG gearmotors are totally enclosed with IP-20 rating (IP-44 with optional t-box kit installed). The unvented gearhousing allows for universal horizontal mounting. The gearhed is permanently lubricated with high-performance lubricant. The gearmotors also feature industrial lip type seals on motor and output shafts. Needle bearings for increased radial load capacity and long life, large ball bearings on the output shaft. Hardened helical and spur gearing for quietness and high output to size ratio. Introduction to Brushless DC Gearmotors and Motors

Brushless DC motors require less maintenance, provide long life, low EMI, and quiet operation. They produce more output power per frame size than AC or permanent magnet DC motors and gearmotors. Low rotor inertia improves acceleration and deceleration times while shortening operating cycles, and their linear speed/torque characteristics produce predictable speed regulation. With brushless DC motors, brush inspection is eliminated, making them ideal for limited access areas and applications where servicing is difficult or not desired.
